Options choices confirmation emails are being sent home Friday 14th February 2025 - they will go to parent and student emails.

Any queries please read the FAQs below before contacting school.

1. Can my child change their options now?
Unfortunately, no. Option choices are now final as these have been used to create the timetable, any changes now would impact class sizes, timetables, and staffing.
2. What if I think there’s a mistake in my child’s options?
If you believe there is an error, your child should log in using their school email and complete the form - Link here. We will review submissions and respond accordingly.
3. My child is unhappy with their choices. What can we do?
We understand that students may have second thoughts. However, at this stage, choices are final, and they will need to continue with the subjects they have chosen.
4. My child didn’t get one of their top choices. Why?
While we do our best to accommodate all students' preferences, some subjects may not be viable to run or they did not choose subjects in line with the instructions on the form. Where necessary, alternative options were discussed with students before finalising allocations.
5. How can my child prepare for their GCSEs?
The ‘GCSE Ready’ phase in Year 9 will help students transition into their GCSEs. More details will be shared in newsletters, and recommended study resources will be available on the school website.
6. Will this impact my year 9 lessons?
Students will continue with their normal lessons until the end of year 9, they will not be able to drop a subject they have not chosen for year 10 until September.
7. Who should I contact if I have further questions?
